Aquilegia vulgaris var. stellata 'Black Barlow' has stunning fully double, upward facing, spurless, dark plum-purple (almost black) flowers.  Rising above ferny foliage of gray-green divided leaves.  This perennial is generally short-lived but will self-seed to form colonies.
