Epimedium grandiflorum is a deciduous, clumping, rhizomatous perennial, with heart shaped leaves which are light green and flushed with bronze when young. The spidery flowers are borne on panicles that sit just above the foliage and have a drooping, nodding character. Very useful as groundcover in shady borders.
