Eryngium planum 'Blue Hobbit' (Sea Holly) is a compact perennial with small, spiny, egg-shaped steely blue flowers of, purplish-blue flower. They are produced on silver-blue stems and stand high above the basal rosette of deeply toothed, smooth textured leaves.  Makes a wonderful cut flower, both in fresh and dried arrangements.
