Primula vialii is a stunning perennial with unusual spires of pinkish purple flowers that are red at the top. The long lasting flowers are borne on stout stems above rosettes of spear-shaped, light green leaves. It thrives in damp, shady environments.  It is a recipient of the prestigious Award of Garden Merit of the Royal Horticultural Society.
