Rudbeckia laciniata is a tall rhizomatous perennial with bright yellow daisy like, 7-10 cm flowers.  The flowers have drooping, petals surrounding a prominent pale green conical center that turns brown as it matures. The seed heads will last well into winter. The light green leaves are deeply divided.
