Stipa ichu is a deciduous, slow-growing, perennial grass forming dense upright clumps of fine, slightly arching, bright green foliage and arching, long, slender, silvery-white, feathery plumes in summer into autumn.  It’s flowers dry to white, and foliage to pale buff, and remain on the plant all winter. Can be used as a cut flower.
